1 review for Ideal Logic+ Heat H30

  1. Bradley

I purchased the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 gas boiler in September of last year. This was my first time buying a gas boiler, and I was excited to see how it performs. Overall, I would give it a 3 out of 5 rating.

One of the things I like about this boiler is its compact size. At only 278.0 mm depth and 22.7 kg weight, it was easy to install and did not take up much space in my home. Additionally, it heats up quickly and efficiently, which is important during those chilly nights in Wichita.

However, I do have a few complaints about this boiler. First, it is quite loud when it is running. This can be bothersome, especially if you are in close proximity to the boiler. Second, it is not as durable as I had hoped. After just a few months, I noticed some wear and tear on the exterior.

In comparison, my friend recently purchased the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i gas boiler. It is slightly larger than the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30, but still compact enough to fit in most homes. The Greenstar 30i is also much quieter than the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30, which is a definite plus.

Overall, both boilers have their pros and cons. If you are looking for a compact, efficient boiler that heats up quickly, the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 is a good choice. However, if you are looking for a quieter and more durable option, the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i may be the better choice.

As for the delivery of the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30, there were no issues. It arrived on time and in good condition. The only challenge was finding a reputable dealer in Wichita who offers this boiler. It took a bit of research, but in the end, I found a dealer who was able to help me with my purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions:

"How do I properly install and set up the Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 gas boiler for optimal performance?"

Before starting the installation process, ensure that you have all necessary tools and materials, including a multimeter, PAT tester, spanner set, pipe cutter, soldering iron, and flux. It's also essential to read through the instruction manual carefully beforehand and familiarize yourself with the boiler's features and specifications. Firstly, check that the site is suitable for installation. The Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 gas boiler requires a minimum of 150mm clearance around the sides, rear, and top, while the front should have at least 75mm free space. Make sure there's enough room to fit the unit in its intended location and that it won't be obstructed by other fixtures or objects. Next, turn off the gas supply and isolate the electricity supply to the boiler. Then, connect the gas pipework to the appliance using the appropriate fittings and connections. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the type of pipework required and the recommended orientation of the flue. Connect the electrical wiring according to the diagram provided in the manual. Use a multimeter to test each connection, making sure that there are no shorts or open circuits. Once you're satisfied with the electrical setup, plug the boiler into a power source and perform a PAT test to confirm that it's safe to use. Attach the water pipework to the boiler, ensuring that each joint is securely tightened using an appropriate spanner. Use a pipe cutter to make precise cuts and fit the pipes into place as needed. Don't forget to install the expansion vessel and the filling loop, which are both crucial components of the system. Mount the boiler on the wall bracket provided or another suitable mounting solution, making sure that it's level and securely fastened. Connect the flue using the appropriate fittings and ensure that it's properly sealed and vented to prevent any hazards. Once the installation is complete, turn the gas supply back on and perform a series of tests to check that the boiler is functioning correctly. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for commissioning the unit, which may include running diagnostic tests or adjusting the settings as needed. Finally, ensure that the boiler is properly maintained and serviced on an annual basis to maximize its lifespan and performance. Check the water pressure, temperature, and flow rate regularly, and replace any worn-out components or parts as necessary. Keep the area around the unit clean and clear of debris to prevent any potential hazards or malfunctions. By following these steps, you can ensure that your Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 gas boiler is installed and set up correctly, providing optimal performance and efficiency for years to come.

"How do I reset my Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 boiler if it's not responding to button presses?"

If your Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 boiler is not responding to button presses, there are a few steps you can follow to try and reset the system. Before beginning any work on your boiler, make sure that it is switched off and cool to the touch. Locate the reset button - The reset button is usually located on the front or side of the boiler, near the bottom. It may be hidden behind a plastic cover, so check carefully. Press and hold the reset button - Use a paperclip or similar object to press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds. This will initiate the reset process. Release the button - After holding the button for 5 seconds, release it and wait for the boiler to reset. This may take several minutes. Check if the issue is resolved - Once the boiler has reset, try pressing the buttons again to see if they respond as expected. If the problem persists, you may need to contact an Ideal Logic+ accredited installer for further assistance. Remember, always follow the manufacturer's instructions and take appropriate safety precautions when working on your boiler. If in doubt, it's best to seek professional advice rather than attempting repairs yourself.

How do I set up my new Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 boiler for the first time?

Before starting, ensure that you have all necessary tools and equipment on hand, such as a voltage tester, screwdrivers, and a pipe wrench. Turn off the mains power supply to your old boiler by switching off the circuit breaker at the consumer unit (fuse box). Disconnect the water and gas supplies to your old boiler by turning off the valves on both the cold-water inlet and hot-water outlet pipes. Drain the system by opening all radiator valves and bleeding any air from them. Then, open the drain valve on the bottom of the old boiler and let it run until the water has stopped flowing. Remove the old boiler and clean up the surrounding area, making sure to follow proper safety guidelines for handling gas appliances. Install the new Ideal Logic+ Heat H30 boiler according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring that all connections are tight and secure. Connect the water supply to the new boiler by attaching a flexible hose to the cold-water inlet valve. Connect the hot-water outlet pipe to the new boiler, making sure to follow proper plumbing guidelines for fitting and joining materials. Connect the gas supply to the new boiler by attaching it to the burner unit, following the manufacturer's instructions for safe handling of flammable gases. Turn on the mains power supply at the consumer unit and light the pilot light according to the manufacturer's instructions. Run a series of tests to ensure that the new boiler is functioning correctly, including checking the water pressure and temperature, verifying proper operation of the controls and sensors, and conducting a thorough visual inspection for any leaks or other issues.
