2 reviews for Viessmann Vitodens 111-W B1LD 35 kW

  1. Bad Harry

I honestly do not recommend! If I knew how expensive the service to this boiler is, I would never buy it. Price is one thing, but there is still a lack of specialists and failure rate! My boiler is less than 3 years old and has already been repaired twice!

  2. Ken Huan

It is a high-power boiler (35 W)- it seems too much for a single-family home.
We use it in a double house (semi-detached house over 300m)
Unfortunately, the price is high compared to smaller boilers, e.g. 18 watts.
So far, there have been no problems with it – we have been using it for over 2 years.
it is serviced on an ongoing basis – it did not require any external intervention.

Fuel consumption is normal I mean in line with the manufacturer’s specifications.
The disadvantages include the low price and quite complicated controls.
I saw the Vaillant driver and it seemed more user-friendly.

Can you explain how the outdoor reset feature works on my gas boiler?

The outdoor reset feature on a gas boiler is designed to optimize the performance of your heating system by automatically adjusting the temperature based on the outdoor ambient conditions. This feature typically includes a thermostat located outside of your home that communicates with the boiler's control panel. When the temperature drops outside, the thermostat signals the boiler to increase its output to maintain the desired indoor temperature. Conversely, when the temperature rises outside, the thermostat will signal the boiler to reduce its output to save energy and avoid overheating the home. The main advantage of this feature is that it helps to ensure a consistent and efficient level of comfort inside your home while minimizing unnecessary energy usage during milder weather conditions. This can lead to lower heating bills and reduced environmental impact.

What is the recommended maintenance schedule for a Vitoden 111-W B1LD 35kW boiler?

The maintenance schedule for your Vitoden 111-W B1LD 35kW boiler can be found in the user manual provided by the manufacturer. It is essential to follow these guidelines, as proper maintenance will ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of your boiler system. Typically, a Vitoden 111-W B1LD 35kW boiler requires annual maintenance, which may include:

1. Visual inspection: Checking for any signs of wear or damage, such as leaks, cracks, or corrosion. Cleaning: Removing dust and debris from the air intake and exhaust vents. This includes cleaning the condensate pump, if applicable. Filter replacement: Replacing the air filter if it is dirty or clogged. Burner inspection: Inspecting the burner for any signs of damage or blockages. This may involve removing and cleaning the burner assembly. Combustion analysis: Performing a combustion analysis to ensure that the boiler is operating at optimal efficiency levels. System check: Verifying that all connections and components are functioning correctly, including the thermostat, pressure relief valve, and water level sensor. Flue gas test: Conducting a flue gas test to measure the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) in the exhaust gases. This ensures that the boiler is operating safely and within acceptable emissions limits. Lubrication: Lubricating any moving parts, such as fan bearings or pump shafts, if required. Water treatment: Adding a water treatment solution to protect the boiler from scale build-up and corrosion. This may involve checking the water quality and adding chemicals as needed. Control system check: Testing the boiler control system to ensure that it is functioning correctly and responding appropriately to changes in temperature and demand. It is essential to work with a qualified professional who has experience working with Vitoden boilers when performing maintenance tasks. The manufacturer may also offer maintenance plans or service agreements that can help ensure your boiler stays in optimal condition.

How do I troubleshoot the system if it is not responding to manual operation or remote control signals?

If your system is not responding to manual operation or remote control signals, follow these steps:

1. Check the power source: Make sure that the system is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet and that there is power flowing to it. Inspect the wiring: Verify that all wires are connected securely and that they are not damaged or frayed. Test the manual operation: If your system has a hand crank or emergency handle, use it to move the window or door. This will help you determine if there is an issue with the motor or gear mechanism. Check the remote control: Ensure that the remote control batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try testing the remote in another location to rule out interference from other devices. Examine the sensors: Check the sensors located on the window or door frame to ensure they are clean and free of obstructions. Dirt, debris, or moisture can interfere with their operation. Reset the system: Try resetting the motor by pressing the reset button (if your system has one) or unplugging it for several minutes before plugging it back in. Contact customer support: If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact our customer support team for further assistance. They can help you diagnose and repair any underlying problems with your system.
