I’m Noah from Chicago and I work as a courier. I purchased the Ring Video Doorbell 2 + Chime back in September, and I have to say I’m not too impressed with my purchase. I’m giving it a rating of 2 out of 5 possible.
The only thing I can appreciate about this device is its slim design with a depth of only 27 mm. Other than that, I’m quite disappointed with the video quality. Although it boasts a resolution of 1920×1080, the video quality is just average at best.
Comparing it to other known surveillance cameras that I’ve used, like Nest and Arlo, the Ring Video Doorbell 2 + Chime doesn’t really stand out. The sound quality is very poor, and the microphone is not that good either. And don’t even get me started about the motion detection! It is definitely not reliable.
As for the delivery of this surveillance camera, it was okay. It arrived on time, but the packaging was not that impressive. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this device to anyone who’s looking for high-quality and reliable monitoring for their home. There are definitely better options out there in the market.
