1 review for Baxi Megaflo 15 System

  1. George TEam

I bought it a month ago, so I can’t say much, but …
Baxi Megaflo has the highest rating of SEDBUK Band, so I hope that it will reduce my bills and pay some costs.
It has excellent ecological references, which is very important to me, and at the same time I need hot water in several rooms, which is great for me.
And most importantly, Baxi Megaflow is covered by a 7-year warranty for extra peace !! I think it’s great 🙂

- Tools for installation (e. Expansion vessel and filling loop kit
- Magnetic filter
- System pump
- Chemical flush kit
- Electrical connections kit
- Radiator valves
- Pressure gauge
- Thermostat
- Instruction manual for the new boiler

Step 1: Preparation
Before starting the installation, ensure that you have all the required materials and tools handy. Switch off the mains electricity supply to the old boiler and turn off the gas supply as well. Drain the system using a pump or a vacuum pump if necessary. Cover the floors and surrounding areas with drop sheets to prevent dirt and debris from falling onto them. Step 2: Removal of the Old Boiler
Remove the old boiler carefully, making sure not to damage any pipes, wiring, or fittings. Disconnect the water and gas supplies from the old boiler, and remove it from the wall bracket. If the old boiler has an expansion vessel attached, disconnect it as well. Step 3: Installation of the Expansion Vessel and Filling Loop Kit
Fit the new expansion vessel above the header tank in a vented position. Connect the filling loop kit between the new expansion vessel and the feed and expansion (FE) pipework. This will allow for the expansion of water as it heats up without causing damage to the system. Step 4: Installation of the Magnetic Filter
Install the new magnetic filter near the new boiler, ensuring that the flow is in the direction of the pump. Connect the filter to the feed and expansion (FE) pipework using compression fittings or push-fit connections. Step 5: Installation of the System Pump
Attach the new system pump to the underside of the new boiler, following the manufacturer's instructions. Connect the power supply for the pump from the electrical connections kit. Step 6: Installation of Radiator Valves
Fit the new radiator valves onto each radiator in the system, replacing any old ones that are damaged or worn out. Ensure that the valve orientation is correct and that they are properly aligned with the radiator pipes. Step 7: Chemical Flush Kit
Fill the system with clean water using a chemical flush kit to remove any remaining debris and impurities from the system. This will help prevent rust and corrosion in the new boiler, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Step 8: Installation of Thermostat
Attach the new thermostat onto the wall near the new boiler, following the manufacturer's instructions. Connect the thermostat wiring to the new boiler using the electrical connections kit. Step 9: Pressure Gauge
Install the new pressure gauge onto the system header tank. This will allow you to monitor the water pressure in the system and make necessary adjustments as required. Step 10: Gas Connection
Connect the gas supply pipework to the new boiler, following the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that all fittings are properly secured and tightened using pliers or wrenches. Step 11: Electrical Connections Kit
Connect the electrical connections kit to the new boiler, ensuring that all cables are correctly routed and secured. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper wiring and grounding practices. Step 12: Commissioning the New Boiler
Once all components have been installed and connected properly, turn on the gas supply and switch on the mains electricity supply to the new boiler. Follow the instruction manual for the new boiler to commission it properly, including setting the correct water temperature and adjusting the system pressure as required. Step 13: Final Checks and Testing
After commissioning the new boiler, carry out a final check of all components and connections to ensure that they are properly secured and tightened. Run a few test cycles to ensure optimal performance and check for any leaks or issues with the system. Adjust the thermostat as required to maintain the desired water temperature. By following these steps carefully, you can install and commission a new Baxi Megaflo 15 System boiler safely and efficiently in your home.
