1 review for Skross UK USB Charger

  1. Ezra

I purchased the Skross UK USB Charger back in April and have been using it regularly since then. However, I have to say that I am not particularly impressed with this product and would rate it only 2 out of 5 possible.

Firstly, the charger arrived in white colour which I personally find a bit boring and lackluster. It doesn’t look particularly trendy or eye-catching compared to other chargers in the market. Secondly, the depth of the charger measures at 4.8 cm which is a bit bulky for my liking. It takes up quite a bit of space and is not very practical for travel purposes.

In terms of functionality, the Skross UK USB Charger does its job but not exceptionally well. I find that it charges my devices a bit slower than other chargers I have owned in the past. Additionally, the construction of the charger feels a bit flimsy and weak. I worry about the durability of this product over time.

On the other hand, I recently purchased a popular electrical accessory – the Anker PowerPort Elite 2 – and have been extremely impressed with it. The design is sleek and modern, and the black colour is much more appealing to me than the Skross charger’s white. The depth of this charger is only 2.8 cm, making it much more travel-friendly.

The Anker charger also charges my devices quickly and efficiently, which is a big plus for me. The construction feels much more sturdy and high-quality compared to the Skross charger. Overall, I would highly recommend the Anker PowerPort Elite 2 over the Skross UK USB Charger.

As for the delivery of the Skross charger to Omaha, it arrived in a timely manner with no issues. I purchased it as a backup charger for a trip that ultimately got cancelled due to the pandemic, so the charger has not seen as much use as I had anticipated. However, even with limited use, I am not satisfied with the Skross charger’s performance.

How do I properly connect and use the Skross UK USB Charger for charging my mobile devices in the UK?

Ensure that your Skross UK USB Charger is fully charged before using it to charge your mobile devices. This will ensure that you have enough power to charge multiple devices simultaneously. Plug one end of the AC adapter into a wall outlet with the three-pronged plug. Make sure that the socket meets the UK electrical standards (BS 1363) for safety reasons. Connect your mobile device's USB charging cable to the USB port(s) on the Skross charger. Ensure that the connection is secure and snug. Turn on your mobile device and navigate to the settings menu. Locate the battery or power management section and select the appropriate charging setting for your device. To charge multiple devices simultaneously, connect each device's USB cable to a separate port on the Skross charger. My Skross UK adapter doesn't seem to be working with my hair dryer, is there something I need to set or do before using it?

It's possible that the issue lies in the setting of the adapter. The Skross UK adapter is designed for use in the United Kingdom, where the standard voltage and frequency are different from those in other countries. Before you start using your hair dryer with the adapter, ensure that the voltage selector switch on the adapter is set to the correct position for your hair dryer's requirements. If the switch doesn't have a specific setting for 230V (which is typically used by most European appliances), it might be best to try setting it to "auto" or leaving it in the default position. It's also possible that there's an issue with the adapter itself, so if you're still experiencing problems after trying this, it might be worth considering replacing the adapter.
