As a nurse living in Chula Vista, I recently had to replace my old gas boiler and decided to go with the VAILLANT Ecotec Plus 838. After some research, I found that it had good reviews and seemed like a reliable option.
I installed it with the Yes Water Heater and overall, I’m satisfied with my purchase. It’s been a few months now and I haven’t had any issues with it. The heat output is efficient and keeps my home warm during the colder months.
However, I wouldn’t necessarily say that this boiler is the best option out there. I’ve had experience with other gas boilers in the past and while this one gets the job done, it doesn’t necessarily stand out from the crowd. Additionally, the price point for this model was a bit higher than some of the other options on the market.
In terms of delivery, I had some issues with the timing. It took a bit longer than expected to arrive in Chula Vista, which was frustrating as I was without heat for a few weeks. However, the delivery company was helpful in keeping me updated on the status of my order.
Overall, I’d give the VAILLANT Ecotec Plus 838 a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. It does its job well, but there are other options out there that may be more cost-effective or offer additional features.

As a nurse living in Mesa, I recently purchased the VAILLANT Ecotec Plus 838 gas boiler in August. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been subpar, and I can only give it a 2 out of 5 rating.
One of the major drawbacks of this boiler is its height. At 720.0mm, it’s quite tall and difficult to fit into certain spaces. Additionally, the noise level is quite high, at 46.0dB, causing a constant and annoying whirring sound in my home.
In comparison to other popular gas boilers, I would not recommend the VAILLANT Ecotec Plus 838. In fact, I have since replaced it with a different model with much better results and a quieter performance.
When I first ordered this boiler, I had some difficulties with delivery to Mesa. The company I ordered from had some issues with their shipping process, causing my delivery to be delayed. However, after speaking with customer service and resolving the issue, I did eventually receive the boiler.
Overall, my experience with the VAILLANT Ecotec Plus 838 gas boiler was not a positive one. If you’re in the market for a new boiler, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
