Monk –
After using vivofit 2 for a long time, I wanted to take advantage of the extended possibilities of vivofit 3, especially with regard to additional sports activities and, above all, automatic recording. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work at all, neither with the device I bought first, nor with the replacement device that I also sent back for this reason. Cycling was not automatically recognized by either of the two devices. If you start and stop manually, easy walking is recognized instead … 45 minutes of vigorous jogging was also interpreted as walking. In addition, automatic synchronization with a smartphone (Galaxy S8) did not work on both devices, it was only possible manually – with vivofit 2 there was no problem.
A tracker would probably be adequate as a pure step counter, but the vivofit 2 works there just as well when it comes to timing, even better, with the same specific and very good battery life.
