All smart watches and sports bands equipped with GPS receivers such as Fitbit Alta can be used as a GPS tracker. It doesn't matter how you connect to the internet - direct (eSIM) or indirect via a smartphone. In both cases, you can track your wearable device online in real time. More information is available on this GPS tracking platform for smartwatches.
This device has pedometer, sleep tracking. You might be interested in some other devices with sleep tracking. If that so, you can find it here.
If you want to track your activity during training, you need a device that can communicate. Fitbit Alta have several types of comunication. For example Bluetooth. The best activity truckers have Bluetooth and you can find them here. More information about wireless communication in activity trackers can be found in our article.

I have had the armband for about a year. Sometimes there were problems with synchronization, inaccurate sleep monitoring etc. but all this was not bothersome enough for me to speak negatively about the device itself. The biggest drawback I can attach to is the quality of the belt attachment. After about half a year, the belt began to detach from the “shield”, currently it does not stick at all. Could the trailer be affected during physical activity? It is possible, although I doubt … on the other hand it is a sports band, so it should be durable.
The friend has the same problem with the strap, so I assume that this is a matter of quality and not “bad luck”.
I will only add that the purchase of a new strap is included in the price of watches from other brands that enjoy quite okay

Of all the available wristbands on the market, I think fitbits are the best! I recommend Alta especially for girls, lightweight, delicate, comfortable and beautiful headband. It has one only minus – no heart rate monitor. I used to wear HR Charge and I thought about choosing Alta for a long time, but I don’t regret it. Cool!
