After a year, the gas module broke down. Repairing the furnace (by replacing a broken module) costs almost 20% of the furnace price. Warranty for the replaced part of the year (i.e. exactly the period of time for which everything worked correctly).

The results were very surprising. My furnace would take about 3 months for repair when it needed replacement. But, when I sent in the survey, I also included a chart with a breakdown of what it took for every unit to fail and to need replacement. It took about 10% more time for the replacement of each unit, even with the 2 month warranty period, and this was more than twice the price of a new furnace. And this time, I had to pay about 3USD per unit, just for the replacement of the furnace! I didn’t like this, but I needed to do it.
