I recently purchased the Samsung QE85Q95T and unfortunately, I’m not impressed with it as much as I thought it would. As the general manager of a company, having a high-quality television at home is essential for our entertainment needs, and I thought that this product from Samsung would be the perfect fit for me.
One feature that caught my attention was the CI+ CI/CA compatibility, which should have allowed me to use it with my cable TV subscription. However, I found it difficult to set up, and it did not work right away. I ended up having to call customer support and they had to remotely access my TV to get it to work, which was quite frustrating.
Another feature that I was excited about was the HDR10+ HDR type. I was hoping for an immersive and dynamic viewing experience, but the colors seemed dull and not as vibrant as I expected. I have seen comparable TVs with better picture quality and HDR capabilities that left me underwhelmed by this one.
I have also had some issues with the TV’s delivery to Houston. It took longer to arrive than anticipated, and I had to call customer service multiple times for updates. The delivery was also delayed due to unforeseen warehouse issues on Samsung’s end, but they did eventually arrive and were able to set it up.
Overall, I would rate the Samsung QE85Q95T a 2 out of 5. If you’re looking for a TV with excellent picture quality and easy setup, I suggest looking elsewhere.
