2 reviews for Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro 6GB RAM 128GB Dual SIM

  1. Pro

The phone works smoothly, without lag, a fast and sensitive fingerprint sensor, great quality camera – sees in the dark with small noise, high resolution photos really impress. The battery lasts for 3 days with watching movies about 2 hours a day, charging in 1.5 hours. It has LTE with two cards at once – the option can be turned off, but it increases the availability of the Internet From the disadvantages can be calculated: lack of information security. The phone is saturated with google and xiaomi spy tools. In the xiaomi privacy policy, the data collected is described in general terms. Some google applications (e.g. chrome) cannot be disabled or uninstalled. The phone does not have its own email app. When using two SIM cards, be careful not to call or send an SMS to the number from the wrong card – the menu is confusing, when you write the SMS disappears, from which card I send.

  2. Roman

I purchased the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage as my first smartphone upgrade in April. The phone has a sleek appearance and a decent price point for the high storage capacity. However, I was not entirely impressed with its performance. The 2.05 GHz processor does not seem to keep up with other comparable phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 or iPhone 11.

One feature that I do appreciate is the Yes Front Camera. As someone who likes taking selfies and has a job in the food service industry, it’s helpful to have a good front-facing camera for quick pictures during work breaks. The phone also has a variety of camera options that enhances my photography skills.

In terms of delivery, I was pleased with the speed of delivery to Greensboro. It arrived within a week of purchasing online, which is always a plus.

Overall, I would rate the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro as a 3 out of 5. While the phone does have some solid features, the lackluster performance and processor speed are somewhat disappointing and makes it hard to compete with other mobile phones in the market.

"How do I enable split-screen multitasking on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro?"

To enable split-screen multitasking on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, follow these simple steps:
1. Open an app that you want to use in split-screen mode. Press and hold the recent apps button (the square icon at the bottom left corner of your screen) until a pop-up menu appears. Select "Split screen" from the options provided. Now, select another app that you want to run simultaneously with the first one. The second app will be displayed on the right side of the split screen. You can drag the divider between the two apps to adjust the size of each window according to your preferences. To exit split-screen mode and use a single app at a time, simply tap the "Close" button in the top left corner of either window or press the recent apps button again and select "Close all". Remember, some apps may not support split-screen multitasking, so you might need to try this feature with different applications to see which ones work best for you. Also, note that newer software updates from Xiaomi may introduce slight variations in the steps required to enable split-screen mode, so it's always a good idea to check your device's user manual or official documentation for the latest instructions.

"How do I transfer photos from my old phone to my new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro using a USB cable?"

First, make sure that both your old and new phones are unlocked and have their USB debugging enabled in the developer options. Here's how you can enable it on your Redmi Note 8 Pro:
- Go to Settings > Additional settings > System > Developer options. Toggle on USB debugging if it isn't already enabled. Connect one end of a USB cable into the port at the bottom of your old phone and connect the other end into a spare USB port on your computer. Make sure that your computer recognizes your old phone by checking for a pop-up message in the notification area. Open a file explorer on your computer (e. Windows Explorer or File Explorer on Mac). Look for your old phone's drive and open it. Navigate to the folder where your photos are stored on your old phone. This is usually located in Internal Storage > DCIM. Select the photos you wish to transfer by holding down the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) while clicking on them. You can also select an entire folder at once by right-clicking and selecting "Copy" or pressing Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac). With your selected photos, right-click and choose "Paste" or press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac). This will transfer the selected photos to a new location on your computer. Now, connect your Redmi Note 8 Pro to your computer using a USB cable. Your phone should be detected automatically by your computer. Again, check for a pop-up message in the notification area to confirm that your Redmi Note 8 Pro is connected and recognized. Open another file explorer window on your computer. This time, navigate to your Redmi Note 8 Pro's internal storage. By default, this is located at Internal storage > Download (or an equivalent folder). Paste the photos you copied earlier into your Redmi Note 8 Pro's download folder. Wait for the transfer process to complete. After all the photos have been successfully transferred, safely eject both devices from your computer and disconnect them from each other. On Windows, right-click on the device in the file explorer and select "Eject" or press Ctrl+E (Windows). On Mac, drag and drop the connected device onto the Trash bin to eject it. Lastly, open your Redmi Note 8 Pro's Gallery app and navigate to Internal storage > Download. Your transferred photos should now be displayed there. You can then move them to another folder or delete them from here if you wish. That's it! You have successfully transferred your old phone's photos to your new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro using a USB cable.
