2 reviews for Bea-fon SL160

  1. Karian

For the average “old-school” user, a dream come true. After 2 days – a few calls, an hour of podcasts, payments in shops and 30 minutes of YouTube, a few photos and videos taken a day – the phone still has 49% of the battery. The only thing missing is water resistance 🙁 Unfortunately, in the current generation, waterproof phones start from 2k, which is definitely too much for a handset.

  2. Derek

I find it utterly disheartening that Karian dismisses water-resistant features as an unattainable luxury when the Bea-fon SL160 offers excellent battery life and caters perfectly to the needs of old-school users.

My phone keeps ringing nonstop even though I've silenced it, why is this happening?

That's really frustrating! There could be a few reasons why your phone is still ringing despite being on silent mode. Let me walk you through some possible explanations. Do Not Disturb mode**: Make sure that Do Not Disturb (DND) or similar features are not enabled. These modes can override the silent mode and block all notifications, including calls. Silent mode not working properly**: It's possible that there's a software glitch causing the silent mode to malfunction. Try restarting your phone to see if it resolves the issue. Call forwarding or call waiting**: Check if you have call forwarding or call waiting enabled on your phone. These features can cause multiple rings, even when on silent mode. Third-party apps interfering with notifications**: Some third-party apps might be causing the ringing sound. Try closing all running apps and see if it stops the ringing. Hardware issue**: In rare cases, a hardware malfunction could be responsible for the persistent ringing. If none of the above steps work, consider visiting an authorized service center to check for any hardware issues. Spam calls or robocalls**: Unfortunately, some phones can receive spam calls or robocalls that might not respect your silent mode. Try checking your call logs to see if there are any suspicious numbers calling you repeatedly. Network issue**: In some cases, a network issue could cause your phone to receive multiple notifications, including ringing sounds. To troubleshoot the issue further:

* Check your phone's settings to ensure that silent mode is enabled and working correctly. Look for any apps or features that might be causing the ringing sound. Try resetting your phone's network settings or restarting it in safe mode (if available).

My Bea-fon SL160 is not receiving any calls, but I can make calls and send texts normally. What could be the problem?

1. SIM card issues**: It's possible that there's a problem with your SIM card. Try removing the SIM card from the phone and then reinserting it. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can try replacing the SIM card. Phone software issues**: Sometimes, a software glitch can prevent calls from being received. Try restarting your Bea-fon SL160 or performing a factory reset (if possible). This may fix any underlying software issues. Network signal strength**: Check if you have a good network signal in your area. If the signal is weak, it might affect call reception. Try moving to a different location with better coverage. Mute or silent mode**: Ensure that your phone isn't set to mute or silent mode. This can prevent calls from being received. Do Not Disturb (DND) settings**: Some phones have DND features that can block incoming calls. Check if this setting is enabled on your Bea-fon SL160. Faulty receiver**: In rare cases, the phone's receiver or antenna might be damaged, preventing call reception. If none of the above steps work, it could be worth checking with a professional for repairs.
