2 reviews for Denver SW-170

  1. Elliot Fletcher

    Samsung watch
    I am pleasantly surprised
I had the previous version of the gear s3 was also ok
The only thing that doesn’t quite suit me is the silver case, no choice of envelopes.
The battery lasts longer and there are more sports applications There is not much difference between the predecessor which can be bought now for half the price.
    The rest is a plus.
I recommend it as the only smartwatch that meets my expectations, works properly, and not like Chinese fakes

  2. Violet Barrera

As someone who has been in the market for a new smartwatch, I came across the Denver SW-170 by Samsung and was intrigued by Elliot Fletcher’s review. After using it for a while now, I must say that my experience has been quite different from his.

Firstly, while Fletcher seems satisfied with the design of the watch, I find it rather bland. The all-black color scheme feels uninspired and lacks any personality. Moreover, the watch’s dimensions are quite bulky, making it uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. In contrast, I prefer the sleek and modern design of Fossil’s smartwatches, which offer a wider range of customization options.

Secondly, while Fletcher claims that the battery life is longer in the SW-170, my experience has been quite the opposite. I find myself charging the watch every night, and sometimes even during the day if I’ve been using it heavily. This is a major drawback for me as I prefer smartwatches that can go several days on a single charge.

Thirdly, while Fletcher praises the watch’s sports applications, I find them lackluster. The SW-170 offers basic features such as step tracking and heart rate monitoring, but it falls short in terms of advanced metrics like VO2 max or sleep analysis. In contrast, Garmin’s smartwatches excel in this regard, offering a wide range of sports apps that cater to different activities and fitness goals.

Lastly, while Fletcher commends the SW-170 for being the only smartwatch that meets [his] expectations, I must disagree. In today’s news, South Korea’s SK On is venturing into prismatic EV batteries as part of its mission to turn a profit. This move signals a shift in automaker preferences away from Tesla’s cylindrical-type batteries. It remains to be seen how Samsung will adapt to this changing landscape and whether the SW-170 will remain competitive in the market.

In conclusion, while Elliot Fletcher’s review may have been positive, my experience with the Denver SW-170 has been underwhelming. I believe that smartwatches should offer more than just basic features and long battery life. They should also provide advanced metrics, customization options, and a sleek design. Until Samsung addresses these shortcomings, I will continue to look elsewhere for my smartwatch needs.
