I recently purchased the Casio Protrek PRT-B50-1 and I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. While the watch does offer a lot of useful features such as a barometer, altimeter, and compass, it falls short in a few key areas.
Firstly, the size of the watch is quite large at 50.8 mm width. While some may appreciate the rugged and masculine look, I found it cumbersome to wear and not very practical for everyday use.
The Bluetooth wireless communication was also a bit of a letdown. It was slow to connect to my phone and didn’t always stay connected. I felt like I was constantly having to reset the connection which was frustrating.
Compared to other smartwatches and activity trackers on the market, the Casio Protrek PRT-B50-1 doesn’t quite stack up. While it’s great for outdoor activities and hiking, it falls short in terms of everyday wearability and connectivity.
